PFC Student Pilot Celebrates His 16th Birthday by Soloing! |
Colin Cunningham has been flying for a little more than 3 years. On February 2, 2010, his 16th birthday, he joined the elite ranks of soloed students! Colin, a student of Rich Wegner's, and a sophomore at Glastonbury High School, has been preparing for this event for several months in hopes that he could celebrate his birthday with his first solo flight. Everything was right on track and the weather cooperated, making this a birthday he will always remember. Well done and congratulations Colin! |

Ever wonder about the "ES" in N356ES? |
Did you know that the "ES" in the tail number are the initials of a special man? It seems that our very own N356ES was one of 100 Cessna Skyhawks which honored a man named Ed Stimpson for his work on the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994. N356ES was originally purchased new by Professional Flight Training, the forerunner of Premier, in 1997. With the exception of one brief year the airplane has been based right here ever since. We are proud of the fact that N356ES has been used to help many people achieve their aviation dreams. Please see our web site for the link to the article and a list of student accomplishments in N356ES while at Premier Flight Center. |

| The following exchange took place between a PFC instructor and Brainard Tower on a recent windy day as the plane exited the runway after pattern work with a student: |
|
Tower: "12L, you all done for the day?" 9412L: "Yea, unless I can scrounge up another student. My 3:00 had to cancel because he was sick. Unless you wanna go for a ride!" Tower: "No thanks. I'm gainfully employed right now." 9412L: "What's that got to do with it? If we stay in the pattern you can control from the plane!" Tower: "I'd need to bring the radar screen." 9412L: "Isn't there an app for that?" |
